Sugar Junkie BTS from Bryon Summers on Vimeo.

Based out of College Park, Maryland, the band, Sugar Junkie has a lot of energy, and we captured some of it. We recently got a chance to ask them a few questions and snap a few pics of them in their natural habitat, so sit back and get to know Jamel, Anthony, and Shov. Oh yea, grab some candy while you’re at it.

No name. Just an artist that uses primarily white and black to illustrate that calls them self Blu. If you like the works of Roadsworth and Banksy, imagine adding an animation factor.  Blu has various episodes on his Vimeo channel and website of mind boggling animated street art. There are two unique aspects of the Blu’s works. One – They are large street art compositions, and Two – They are stop motion photography. For those interested in this technique, you should know for the amount of painting he does and the length of this video, he has to have about at least 5000 shots for this to run smoothly. I’ve seen my share of stop motion photography, but this here takes the cake. Blu is clearly a good and conceptualizing a storyboard and a great animator.

Arguable the best new-comer in Hip-Hop music this year, Drake has put out a video for his Best I Ever Had single.  I’ve heard mixed reviews, but personally, I think it had great photo direction and concept.  It’s not the average video filled with cameos of well known vixens. Instead, he took the satirical route with a host of busty babes all competing for the franchise spot on Coach Drake’s “team”. I wouldn’t do the viewer justice by picking out all the undertones of the video. So watch it for yourself. And o yea, great job on Yeezy’s part on the overall video direction.
