This week I was in sunny LA. While there, I had a chance to check out a few dope places and events. One of these events happened to be the Dom Kennedy listening party.
Up until this point, I hadn’t heard about Dom, but you learn something new everyday. In case you were like myself, Dom Kennedy is a rapper from Los Angeles, California – Leimert Park to be exact.

With content that makes even an East Coast native nostalgic, Dom’s delivery and lyrics are timeless. Several dope mixtapes precede his album, From the Westside, with Love, so it too is sure to be a classic. And uh… make sure you have on a pair of fly kicks and maybe some shades when you pop in the tape or mp3 thingy. It’ll make the listening experience all the better – trust me.
